People on the Move: Israel Navarro Now the Director of Quality Assurance and Training for 211 and Crisis Services

Israel Navarro

We are thrilled to announce the career advancement of Israel Navarro to the role of Director of Quality Assurance and Training, 211 and Crisis Services, at Heart of Florida United Way.

Israel first joined Heart of Florida United Way in 2020 as a 211 Supervisor and has consistently demonstrated a commitment to service, excellence, and community that aligns with our mission and values.

Israel brings to his new role a rich background in social services and a deep passion for community support. With a bachelor’s degree in public administration from the University of Central Florida, Israel has built a career focused on making a meaningful difference in people’s lives.

His journey before joining Heart of Florida United Way saw him deeply involved in supporting families through adoption processes at a nonprofit in Boston, Massachusetts. While there, Israel also advocated for the vulnerable populations of Boston, working to find safe and stable housing solutions for those experiencing chronic homelessness.

In his new position, Israel will lead the charge in overseeing quality assurance and department-specific training initiatives to support our 211 and Crisis Services contact center. Israel assumed his new responsibilities on January 29, and we are confident that he will help our 211 team continue to excel and innovate — ensuring that the 211 Information & Referral Line remains a pillar of support for our community.

Please join us in congratulating Israel on his new role!
