We are so proud to announce that our very own Senior Vice President of Human Resources Jonathon Adler is being recognized by Orlando Business Journal as one of their 40 Under 40 honorees!

In his role at Heart of Florida United Way (HFUW), Jonathon leads all aspects of the Human Resource function.

Notably, over the past year, Jonathon has brought his expertise to HFUW to lead the organization into a more modern, structured, culture-driven era of Human Resources (HR).

He has been instrumental in pursuing one of our strategic plan’s imperatives of operational excellence and being an employer of choice — championing organizational change that supports and empowers our staff and better enables us to serve our community.

Perhaps most importantly, Jonathon has been key in building authentic relationships to dispel the apprehension that sometimes surrounds “HR.” Leading with an approachable, compassionate, and caring spirit, he cultivates a culture of trust and support within the organization. Widely recognized as a valuable thought partner, Jonathon champions psychological safety and prioritizes training and development, essential for empowering HFUW staff to excel in their roles.

Futhermore, as the executive champion for the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Action Committee, Jonathon is a steady voice advocating for diversity, equity, and inclusion both within HFUW and via the organizations we partner with.

Thanks to Jonathon’s leadership — which is both strategic and compassionate — HFUW maintains a five-generation workforce. This workforce features employee tenures that span over 30 years and a diversity breakout that shows an intentional alignment with census data, ensuring HFUW’s workforce represents the community it serves.

Outside of HFUW, Jonathon is active in our Central Florida community. He serves on the Board of Directors for United Arts of Central Florida and has previously provided leadership in various capacities with the Greater Orlando Society for Human Resource Management (GOSHRM), the Human Resources Advisory Committee for the YMCA of Central Florida, the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Advisory Council for the Greater Orlando Organizational Development Network (GOOD). Jonathon is also a Founding Member of the National HR Experts Council.

Jonathon earned both his Executive Master and Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Management, is a proud graduate of Leadership Orlando (LO103) and holds multiple professional certifications, including a Senior Certified Professional Certification from the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM-SCP) and is a certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt. In 2022, Jonathon was named as one of the Top 100 HR Executives in the nation

Once again, congratulations Jonathon for this well-deserved recognition!
