HFUW Invests $250,000 in Grace Medical Home to Help Expand Mental Health Services in Central Florida

Blog Grace Medical Home Investment

Big news! Heart of Florida United Way (HFUW) is proud to announce our $250,000 investment in Grace Medical Home, which is an organization that provides high-quality, coordinated medical care to our neighbors who cannot afford healthcare.

Since the COVID-19 pandemic, the need for mental health crisis support has increased and Grace Medical Home consequently experienced increasing requests for mental health services. With these funds from HFUW, Grace Medical Home will expand the mental health services available in our community.

At HFUW, we believe every person in our community should have equal access to mental health services and this includes the ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) population that we serve.

Many of our neighbors are underinsured, or even uninsured, ultimately making healthcare inaccessible. That’s why we are grateful to partner with Grace Medical Home, which is stepping up to provide people with the care they need.

We are proud to be among the donors, including the City of Orlando, Dr. P Phillips Foundation, Florida Blue Foundation, First Baptist Church of Orlando, and Bea for Kids, who are supporting Grace’s expansion.
