History of The Dr. Nelson Ying Center
The Dr. Nelson Ying Center 1940 Traylor Boulevard Orlando, FL 32804
For the first time in its history, Heart of Florida United Way has a permanent home, the Dr. Nelson Ying Center. Named in honor of one of its largest benefactors, the Center is located at 1940 Traylor Boulevard in the College Park section of Orlando. Dr. Nelson Ying of the China Group contributed more than $1,000,000 to make the Center and its adjoining warehouse dubbed the Patricia Ying Gifts In Kind Pavilion, a reality. In addition to Dr. Ying's contribution, the Center received sizable gifts from Dr. Phillips, Inc., the Edyth Bush Charitable Foundation, Inc. and Orange County Government.
