Women’s Leadership Luncheon

We are proud to announce that our milestone 10th annual Women’s Leadership Luncheon raised an impressive $197,345! The money raised will go back into the community to fund local education initiatives and help Title-I schools receive an online reader program. This program impacts over 6,000 students and gives them access to a digital library of books while building essential literacy skills.

Historically, the Women’s Leadership Council has hosted the Luncheon as a successful fundraiser towards the fight for the education and literacy of Central Florida students. This year the Luncheon also served as the opportunity to announce the exciting new name for the Women’s Leadership Council: Women United.

Women United

The mission of Women United remains the same: to inspire, educate and motivate women to become positive change-agents within their local communities through philanthropy, leadership and volunteerism. Composed of a global network of female leaders with more than 70,000 members, the Central Florida community of women will now join forces to combat the most critical issues facing Orange, Osceola and Seminole counties.

“We were overwhelmed by the attendance and support from our local leaders and the community,” said Jill Schwartz, Women United chair. “We’re looking forward to creating brighter futures under a new name and with a reinvigorated passion to strengthen literacy in Central Florida.”

Thank you to everyone who took part of our Luncheon, including presenting sponsor Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women and Babies and gold level sponsor Tupperware Brands Corporation! Be sure to check out pictures from the event on our Facebook page
