Thank you for your interest in The IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program.

 

It's almost time to file your 2014 taxes, and United Way can help by connecting you to one of over 50 free tax preparation sites throughout Orange, Osceola, and Seminole counties. Our volunteers are still setting up sites, so check back here for locations, days, and times that are convenient for you.

Sites are not open yet, but if you stilll need to file your 2012-2013 taxes, VITA assistance is available through the Legal Aid Society of Orange County, 100 East Robinson Street, Orlando, FL 32801. Phone 407-841-8310 for more information.

What does VITA offer?

Peace of mind- The VITA program generally offers free tax help to people who make $53,000 or less and need assistance in preparing their own tax returns.

 

Quality - IRS-certified volunteers will provide free basic income tax return preparation with electronic filing.

 

Assistance - People will receive information about special tax credits for which you may qualify such as Earned Income Tax Credit, Child Tax Credit, and Credit for the Elderly or the Disabled.

 

Convenience - VITA sites are generally located at community and neighborhood centers, libraries, schools, shopping malls, and other convenient locations.
