Outcome Based Evaluation Training

Outcome Based Evaluation (OBE) is a systematic approach used to evaluate the effectiveness of program services by measuring the change in the clients being served.

 

The purpose of OBE trainings is to provide detailed information to agency staff members on Heart of Florida United Way 's Outcome Based Evaluation process, including the Evaluation Forum's logic model. 

 

Upcoming Workshops:

Outcomes 101
An introduction to outcome based evaluation.  Participants will learn about the tools associated with outcome based evaluation (Logic Model, Evaluation Plan, and Data Analysis Worksheet).  For successful participation, participants should be knowledgeable of their organization's program goals and how outcome based evaluation is currently being used in the organization.

 

When:  Friday, August 20, 2010

 

Target Audience: Agency program evaluation staff and new employees who wish want to learn more about the process.

Other outcomes workshops typically provided include the following:

 

Overview of Outcome Based Evaluation
Provides a broad overview of all aspects of outcome based evaluation.  Participants will gain an understanding of Logic Models, Evaluation Plans, and Measurement Tools.  Participants should bring copies of their current Logic Models to discuss questions and ideas.
 

 

Logic Models, Evaluation Plans and Measurement Tools
Provides hands-on interactive workshops, where participants will participate in exercises related to OBE componenets including Logic Models, Evaluation Plans, and Measurement Tools.  In addition, participants will discuss these components as they relate to their own agency.
 

 

Data Analysis and Reporting Activities
Provides hands-on interactive workshops, where participants will review and practice data analysis and reporting activities, as well as how all components fit together.  The performance measurement framework for Investing in Results will be covered as well.  Participants will be required to bring samples of their programs' OBE indicator data or measurement tools.  This session will be highly interactive, both in small groups and as a whole class.
