For nearly 70 years, Heart of Florida United Way has been the leader in raising and distributing dollars to local health and human services programs. 2005-2006 Funding We begin with a thorough review of each agency and program that requests funding. More than 100 volunteers from the community review each application for funding, visit each facility and witness each program at work. Local agencies must meet required funding criteria to receive and maintain funding from Heart of Florida United Way. Distributing millions of dollars to dozens of health and human services programs every year is one of the things we do best. This process would not be possible without the participation of committed volunteers.
