Every week in Orange, Osceola and Seminole counties, an average of 69 babies are born prematurely, putting them at greater risk for lifelong health, developmental and cognitive problems. Another 50 infants are born with dangerously low birth weights, which threaten their very survival.
As part of Heart of Florida United Way’s focus on healthy children and families, we’re partnering with local companies to support at-risk mothers and infants through a community-wide baby shower. With the holiday season just ahead, this is a great way to get involved and give back.

Host Nov. 11 - Dec. 8
Join with co-workers and friends to host a baby shower for infant-care supplies between Nov. 11 and Dec 8. United Way has a great tool kit that includes invitations, helpful ideas, artwork and other resources that make it easy to incorporate a supply drive with holiday parties and other activities.
All donated items must be dropped off at Heart of Florida United Way between Tues., Dec. 6 and Thurs., Dec. 8. from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
